The goal of this program is to ensure that no child fails to go to school or drops out of school due to a lack of educational materials. This is more likely to occur in communities with high poverty and unemployment rates. Research shows that 43 % of all children in the United States live in low-income families. In Kenner, LA,17.1% of the population lives below the poverty level, whereas 7.4% are unemployed. Studies also show that 15% of students drop out of school, and only 25% have a bachelor’s degree.

ACOH believes every child deserves an opportunity to learn. Through this program, we therefore provide education materials (School kits) to students from Grades 1 to 10.

US$ 250 per Kit

Each school Kit student contains a study tablet, a Backpack, Pencils and pens, a Sharpener, and erasers.

You can also donate towards the purchase of several basic items (pens, folders, erasers, rulers, etc) per student at US$ 35 each.
