Girls’ Development & Empowerment
Today’s adolescent and teenage girls face many challenges that put their mental and physical health, academic success, and overall well-being at risk. Those without strong family support or the life skills to handle these challenges are especially vulnerable. For African American girls, the impact is even greater, as they must also navigate gender inequities and systemic racism across different areas of society.
While technology has made life more convenient in many ways, it has also heightened pressures for young girls. Many struggle with limited interpersonal skills, low confidence, or uncertainty about where to turn for help when facing emotional, mental, or physical stress.
Our program is designed to change that. We aim to empower young girls with the tools, resources, and guidance they need to handle life’s challenges and move confidently toward their dreams, whether in education, careers, or personal aspirations.

In addition, the program provides essential items and support for girls who are most at risk—ensuring their basic needs are met so they can focus on growth and success.
A Girl’s Personal Care Kit consists of body wash, shampoo, lotion, face wash, moisturizer, toiletry items, journeys, gift-cards, self-empowerment books, etc
